Indonesia to replace fleet of American F-5 with Russian Su-35 aircraft

The Su-35 will replace the obsolete American F-5 Tiger aircraft, which the Indonesian military has been using since 1980. Rostech, the aircraft manufacturer, has stated that it received a commercial offer from Indonesia, for 11 aircraft. The Su-35 is a Russian multipurpose super maneuverable fighter jet of the “4 ++” generation, equipped with an on-board radar station with a phased array antenna, as well as engines with a controlled thrust vector. The aircraft can fly at a speed of up to 2,5 thousand km/h, the flight range reaches 3,4 thousand km, the combat radius is about 1,6 thousand km. The jet is armed with a 30 mm cannon and has 12 suspension points for bombs and missiles. Russia is also negotiating with Indonesia for the delivery of floating armored personnel carriers (BTR) BT-3F, said the Deputy Director of Rosoboronexport, Sergei Goreslavsky.

America’s Awkward “Pivot” to Asia: US-Cambodia Confrontation Widens

The so-called “Pivot to Asia” initiated under the administration of US President Barack Obama as a means of reinvigorating US influence across Asia Pacific vis-à-vis China has resulted in a backlash against tired US policies predicated on “democracy promotion,” “rights advocacy” and increasingly meaningless economic and military ties between Washington and the nations of Southeast Asia.

From a “pivot” that was presented as a means to win over allies across Asia through economic trade and regional security underwritten by US military might, under the administration of current US President Donald Trump, US foreign policy has shifted decidedly toward a coercive and punitive posture to reestablish Washington’s influence.

It can be argued, however, that the “pivot” was from the beginning, merely window dressing for a policy that was little more than a highly focused effort to coerce and punish nations for moving out of Washington’s sphere of influence, and into Beijing’s.

Clinton–Obama Emails: The Key to Understanding Why Hillary Wasn’t Indicted

New FBI texts highlight a motive to conceal the president’s (Obama) involvement.

If Clinton had been charged, Obama’s culpable involvement would have been patent. In any prosecution of Clinton, the Clinton–Obama emails would have been in the spotlight. For the prosecution, they would be more proof of willful (or, if you prefer, grossly negligent) mishandling of intelligence. More significantly, for Clinton’s defense, they would show that Obama was complicit in Clinton’s conduct yet faced no criminal charges.

The FBI Hand Behind Russia-Gate

It now appears that it was not the Russians trying to rig the outcome of the U.S. election, but leading officials of the U.S. intelligence community, shadowy characters sometimes called the Deep State.

SPECIAL REPORT: IN THE WATERGATE ERA, LIBERALS WARNED ABOUT U.S. INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES MANIPULATING U.S. POLITICS, BUT NOW TRUMP-HATRED HAS BLINDED MANY OF THEM TO THIS DANGER BECOMING REAL, AS EX-CIA ANALYST RAY MCGOVERN NOTES.

Russia-gate is becoming FBI-gate, thanks to the official release of unguarded text messages between loose-lipped FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok and his garrulous girlfriend, FBI lawyer Lisa Page. (Ten illustrative texts from their exchange appear at the end of this article.)

The utter farce of the Mueller investigation into Trump collusion with Russia demonstrates the most obscene and overwhelming pattern of government deceit and deflection in decades.

Turkey re-enters Syrian endgame with ‘smart power’

“Our operations will continue until the separatist terror organization is fully cleared from the region and around 3.5 million Syrians who are now sheltered in Turkey are able to securely return to their homeland.”

The UN Security Council meeting on Tuesday regarding Turkey’s military operations in Syria turned out to be like the dog that didn’t bark in the night in the Sherlock Holmes short story. There was no bark – no statement by the Security Council – condemning Turkey.

Bullhorns disambiguation

Will a 4-page memo detailing extensive FISA court abuse change the course of what is known as Russiagate?

Also, does the Trump administration’s Syria policy make any sense?

When it comes to Davos, it’s inequality, stupid

This is what ‘the great and the good’ in the business world will not be discussing during the annual talk-fest at the Swiss luxury resort.
This is the exclusive club, which meets in the luxury Swiss resort each year to discuss the global business environment.

Davos is essentially double-dip land. On one side, we have ‘Bad for Labor’, with millions in the West thrown into an unemployment hell or suffering from a wages freeze. On the other side, we have ‘Good for Capital’, with companies flush with cash. Yet the result is uncertainty, all over again.

Taiwanese President: Chinese Attack Is Possible

Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen is taking the threat of a Chinese military attack very seriously and stated Tuesday that Taipei has not ruled out the possibility of such an attack happening, as Beijing’s military conducts more and more drills near the self-ruling island.

“No one can exclude this possibility,” Tsai said on Taiwanese TV Monday evening in response to a question about whether China might use military force against Taiwan. “We will need to see whether their policymakers are reasonable or not,” she noted.

NSA/ FBI AND DOJ Explosive Findings – Paul Craig Roberts

We have treason committed at the highest levels of the FBI and Department of Justice and the Democratic National Committee. The main function of the National Security Administration is to collect the dirt on members of the house and senate, the staffs, principal contributors, and federal judges. The dirt is used to enforce silence about the crimes of the security agencies.

The blackmail mechanism was put into gear the minute the news reported that the House Intelligence Committee had assembled proof that the FBI, DOJ, and DNC created Russiagate as a conspiracy to unseat President Trump.

Neoconning the Trump White House

Washington’s well-funded web of interventionist elites is quietly populating the president’s national security circle, again.

What has been less obvious, but has become much clearer in these last few months, is that other neoconservatives are quietly filling the vacuum left by Obama’s cadre of liberal interventionists. Many of them had taken a pass on “Never Trumping” publicly, and are now popping up at the elbows of top cabinet officials.
